Learn to fly, an aircraft thats harder to fly than a real one. AND keep some guy off you backside form shooting you down. After you do this, all other PvP is lame, so I dont bother to.
Gankers are not pirates. They are PKers. They dont care about booty, just another notch on the kill board. Packs of wild dogs like the ones that camp .04-.03 systems are up and coming pirate wannabes. Heck the ore thieves in high sec are more a pirate than most I slink by in low sec.
BTW just to let you all know. When the ore thieves strike noobs in our guild. I lock on to them, WS and NOS them and the noobs missle/drone them to death. So the Rook does have its uses.
and for those of you that said get a drake. You missed where I said I dont fly anything bigger than a cruiser.

How do you know we don't know what PvP is? Most ppl posting here probably played a lot of other games aswell. How do you know who's a ganker and who isn't, posting in these boards? Personally I played Quake 2, Unreal tournament, counter strike and other FPSs very seriously on higher levels. By you definition that seems to be what real PvP is about? Still I enjoy eve pvp for a different reason.
In eve its a higher element of tactics, in FPS games its a bit more wrist skill aim so to speak. In eve you don't get a kill every 5 seconds. You might have to stalk you victim for an hour, or plan ahead days before. The satisfaction of getting a well thought out kill like that, where you overcome your opponent with your intelligence, is very rewarding for me in a different way then omg my wrist aim got 3 headshots in a row (wich is also rewarding but in a different way)
Pesonally I do not gank ppl in low sec. I ransom them for isk. If they don't pay I kill them. Killmails means nothing, the fun of finding, planning and attacking an unwilling target means everything.
You coming here telling ppl what they are and what PvP is, is simply making a fool out of yourself.
